FAQ
How many images will we receive?
Full session photoshoot comes with 25 professionally edited pictures with an option to purchase more for an extra charge. I deliver your pictures via an online and password protected gallery, from where you are able to create a favourite lists and share or download your images.
How long does the photoshoot take?
Every photoshoot roughly takes about one hour. This always depends on the situation during the photoshoot, weather conditions and client's cooperation.
The newborn photography session usually goes for up to 2 hours. There is always plenty of time to take a break for feeding or when the baby needs to be settled.
Do I need to pay deposit?
A non-refundable deposit of 20% off your photoshoot secures the date and is due when you book. We can discuss pricing and package information and once the payment is done I will answer any and all questions you have in depth. However please bear in mind since the photography is completely dependent on natural light some appointments might be rescheduled depending on the weather conditions.
When is the best time to do the photoshoot?
The sessions can happen all year round either on weekends or during the week. I am a natural light photographer, I always pay attention to the light surrounding me. I highly recommend mornings or late afternoons, when the light gives us the best possible natural result, because sunrise or sunset has the most gorgeous light for shooting photography.
What should I wear for my photoshoot?
I am always happy to give advice and discuss the right outfit with you. I have created a simple "What to Wear Guide" ready to be sent to my clients in a pdf file.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Rolleston/Christchurch and happy to travel to the desired location of your choice. Christchurch and its surroundings offers so many beautiful spots to go, so we can arrange the best location for you. All prices include twenty kilometres travel within this area.
Do you provide the RAW pictures?
RAW, straight-out-of-camera photos look unfinished and flat. The editing process is a big part of creating the final product and it adds to my personal style. This is why I don’t want someone else to edit my RAW file badly or publish it online unedited. It’s not something I would put my name on. So the answer is no, I don't.
How do you edit your photos?
Every single picture needs to be edited, that's why sometimes it can take little bit longer to deliver your whole picture gallery. My goal is to have a picture that looks sharpened, has the right exposure and is cropped at the right size. I also do the colour and tone corrections and basic retouching. Every additional retouching will be charged more, this is a perfectly reasonable ask for extra work.
Do you publish the photos on your social media or website?
I highly respect the privacy of my clients, so I publish the pictures only with client’s approval. On the other hand I am always super grateful when you tagged me on your social media if you decide to share your photos.
As a small business owner, I rely on my clients to vouch for me. I love for my past clients to leave me a review.
